Kick chat moderation
Every command a Kick moderator actually types — timeout is in minutes, slow mode is /slow on, and follow-only is /followonly. Drill the tools, run the playbooks, then take the quiz.

Escalation ladder
- 1Warn or delete
First minor contact. Educate. Don't skip this on a regular.
- 2Short timeout
Kick: 5 min. Twitch: 10 min. YouTube: 5 min. Rumble: 5 min mute. TikTok: short mute. IG: turn off commenting. X: mute. Facebook: suspend 15 min.
- 3Long timeout
Kick: 60 min. Twitch: 3600s. YouTube: hide user. Rumble: mute for this livestream. TikTok: mute rest of LIVE. IG: Remove from this Live. X: mute until you unmute. Facebook: ban from this stream.
- 4Permanent ban
Third strike, or anything zero-tolerance. IG host: Block after the Live under Review moderator actions.
Core principles
Escalation ladder
Warn → short timeout → long timeout → ban. Never repeat the same punishment and expect a different result.
Read the room
Banter on this stream may be a ban on another. Learn the culture before you swing.
Don't over-moderate
Over-moderating kills chat. Act on real violations, not opinions or spicy jokes the streamer enjoys.
Zero tolerance
Slurs, doxxing, CSAM, commercial spam, impersonation — permanent ban. No warning.
Mods are staff, not friends-with-a-badge
The sword goes to people who already de-escalate. You can unmod tomorrow. Do it if they power-trip.
